Gph Water Pump

can i use a fish tank that used to be salt water and use it for fresh water?
i have the chance to get a 250 gallon salt water with everything but i like fresh water in that case what do i need to do and change ???
can the filters be the same??
Tank is drilled with corner overflows
2 'little giant pumps' that will give you plenty of gph for propper water flow
oceanic canister filter those are some of the stuff that it has....
I'd jump at it. Eveything should be fine, with three exceptions:
1. If the package includes a protein skimmer, the skimmer will be useless for freshwater. Hang onto it in case you decide to switch back to saltwater someday.
2. If the package comes with any sort of water additives (conditioners, pH stabilizers, medications, etc.), you will have to go through them carefully to determine what's potentially useful and what isn't.
3. If the package comes with gravel made from crushed coral, or real coral decorations, those will raise the pH higher than most freshwater fish can stand. Use them only if you're going to keep fish which specifically need a very high (8.0-8.2) pH.
Good luck!
