Feed Phytoplankton Algae

what tools or materials do you need to grow algae?
hi i am looking to grow my own algae to feed some phytoplankton and need to no how to go about it cheers any help would be appreciated
You don't need anything special to grow algae. Those big plastic drinks bottles will usually grow algae within days as long as they're put somewhere with plenty of sunlight. Fill it about 3/4 with tap water (rain water would be better if you can collect some), put the lid on, and leave it on the windowsill or just outside the front or back door (wherever gets more sun). If you can be bothered then a rough tile with water dribbling across it will probably grow some. It only needs to be enough to keep water flowing over the surface.
